For physical and chemical protection, bituminous welding tape is wrapped on primed pipes, which consists of two layers. The first layer of the bituminous welding tape is an anti-corrosion insulation adhesive layer, which consists of a combination of bitumen and adhesive materials. This layer of insulating adhesive is created to prevent direct contact of the pipe with the environment and pollution factors in it. The second layer of this tape is a polyethylene layer that is placed on the adhesive layer and acts as a protective cover against corrosion, moisture, bacteria in the soil and mechanical damage.
