Description

IPPD is used as an antioxidant or an antiozonant. It is soluble in oil, acetone, benzene, carbon tetrachloride, carbon disulfide and ethyl alcohol. This antioxidant hardly dissolves in gasoline and does not dissolve in water. This antioxidant changes color when exposed to air and sunlight and appears mostly black or dark gray.
The applications of this chemical are mostly in the rubber industry, tire industry, packaging industry, production of polymer products, etc.
